Authorizes sheriffs and their deputies to use radar speed detection equipment on county public roads, streets, and highways outside municipal corporate limits.

Restricts radar use to roads under county board of supervisors jurisdiction for maintenance and construction.

Maintains existing prohibitions on radar use by other law enforcement agencies, except Mississippi Highway Patrol, municipal officers in qualifying cities, and campus police.

Clarifies that municipal officers in cities over 15,000 population can use radar on federally designated highways within city limits, while Highway Patrol cannot operate radar in those same cities.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
