Increases minimum school days required for schools rated "F" by the accountability system from 180 to 195 days per scholastic year, beginning the school year after receiving an "F" rating.

Increases minimum school days required for schools rated "D" by the accountability system from 180 to 188 days per scholastic year, beginning the school year after receiving a "D" rating.

School boards must take necessary steps to operate "D" and "F" rated schools for the additional required days beyond the standard scholastic year.

Amends Section 37-151-5 to clarify that "minimum school term" means the minimum number of days as fixed by local school boards under the authority of Section 37-13-63.

Effective July 1, 2020.
