Increases the maximum annual gross sales threshold for cottage food operations exempt from food establishment permit fees from $20,000 to $35,000.

Authorizes cottage food operations to advertise cottage food products over the Internet, including through social media, while maintaining the prohibition on actual sales through these channels.

Requires cottage food operation labels to include the operation's name and address, product name, ingredients, net weight/volume, allergen information, nutritional information if nutritional claims are made, and a statement that the product is not subject to Mississippi food safety regulations.

Allows the department to investigate complaints and inspect cottage food operation premises only upon receipt of a complaint, with refusal to permit inspection subject to disciplinary action.

Effective date is July 1, 2020.
