Amends Section 83-11-101 to extend uninsured motorist coverage to include claims involving vehicles owned or operated by persons or entities protected by immunity under the Mississippi Tort Claims Act.

Modifies bodily injury coverage language to cover damages "or would be legally entitled to recover as damages for bodily injury or death but for the immunity provided under the Mississippi Tort Claims Act."

Modifies property damage coverage language similarly to include damages that would be recoverable "but for the immunity provided under the Mississippi Tort Claims Act."

Maintains existing requirements that insureds may reject uninsured motorist coverage in writing and that insurers must inform policyholders of coverage benefits on a Department of Insurance-approved form.

Takes effect upon passage.
