Amends Section 9-5-137 of the Mississippi Code to require chancery clerks to remove all social security numbers from land transfer deeds.

Applies to records kept in well-bound books or through electronic filing and storage systems used by the clerk's office.

Maintains existing duties of chancery clerks to preserve records, index files, issue process, and perform other legally required functions.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
