Removal of any member from a state, district, county, or municipal board or commission created by state statute becomes ineffective unless two conditions are met: the member has failed to attend at least 50% of regularly scheduled meetings in the preceding 12 months OR violated a state statute related to their duties, AND a majority of all other board/commission members vote for removal.

Requires at least 50% of all other members of the board or commission to vote in favor of removal for such action to be effective.

Provisions of this act supersede any conflicting state law.

Effective date is July 1, 2020.
