Increases the maximum acquisition cost threshold for county purchases that do not require a requisition, purchase order, or receiving report from $1,500 to $2,000.

Applies the increased threshold to Section 31-7-103, requiring only that department heads or designees sign invoices for purchases up to $2,000 in the aggregate.

Modifies Section 31-7-119 to allow board supervisors in counties without countywide road administration systems to make purchases up to $2,000 without board approval, provided invoices are signed and forwarded to the purchase clerk.

Effective date is July 1, 2020.
