MS HB54

Removes the requirement that hotels with fewer than 50 beds must operate one or more regular dining rooms designed to be constantly frequented by customers each day.

Applies to hotels within municipalities or qualified resort areas that have at least 20 sleeping rooms (or 50 rooms in cities with populations exceeding 25,000).

The definition of "hotel" continues to include establishments meeting the definition of "bed and breakfast inn."

Effective July 1, 2020.
