Amends Section 37-9-105 of the Mississippi Code to establish notification timeline for assistant teachers being notified of nonreemployment.

School districts must provide written notice to assistant teachers of proposed nonreemployment no later than June 30 or within 10 calendar days after the local school board adopts the district's annual budget, whichever is later.

Provides superintendent authority to issue nonreemployment notice without further board action for principals (by March 1), teachers and professional educators (by April 15 or 10 days after Governor approves state education appropriation bill, whichever is later), and assistant teachers under the new timeline.

Exempts interim conservators appointed pursuant to Section 37-17-6 and school boards acting on recommendations of financial advisors from the time limitations in this section.

Effective date: July 1, 2020.
