Makes the office of sheriff a nonpartisan office and prohibits candidates from campaigning or qualifying based on party affiliation.

Prohibits political parties and their affiliated committees from fundraising for, contributing to, or publicly endorsing sheriff candidates, and prohibits sheriff candidates from accepting such contributions.

Requires sheriff candidates' names to be listed separately on ballots in alphabetical order with "nonpartisan" designation and without any party affiliation references.

Amends Mississippi Code Sections 23-15-299, 23-15-359, 23-15-367, 23-15-511, and 23-15-531.3 to conform ballot and election procedures to the nonpartisan sheriff office status.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
