Requires the Mississippi Department of Corrections to develop case plans for all parole-eligible inmates within 90 days of admission to guide rehabilitation and reduce recidivism.

Case plans for nonviolent inmates must include at least two of the following program areas: criminal thinking, alcohol and drugs, life skills, or behavioral health.

Caseworkers must meet with inmates every 8 weeks to review case plan progress and must notify inmates of their parole eligibility date within 90 days of admission.

The department must submit progress reports to the Parole Board every 4 months, and the Parole Board must approve case plans before parole-eligible inmates receive them.

Effective July 1, 2020.
