Adds one additional member to the Corrections and Criminal Justice Oversight Task Force to be appointed by the Governor who is an advocate for offenders and families directly affected by the prison justice system.

The new advocate member appointment becomes effective July 1, 2020.

Reletters existing task force member positions to accommodate the new advocate position while maintaining all other membership requirements.

Task force continues to meet at least biannually with a quorum of seven members and retains all existing powers and duties including tracking outcomes, submitting annual reports to the Legislature, monitoring sentencing standards, and conducting legal education seminars.
