Requires the State of Mississippi and political subdivisions to compensate nonexempt law enforcement officers at their regular hourly rate for the first 43 hours per week, 86 hours per two-week period, or 171 hours per 28-day period.

Allows compensation through compensatory time on at least an hour-for-hour basis, with earned time guaranteed to be paid out or granted as time off with pay.

Requires payment of all earned compensatory time at the officer's current regular hourly rate upon separation of employment.

Mandates compliance with Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requirements for any hours worked in excess of the stated thresholds.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
