Adds a new gross vehicle weight category of 80,001 to 84,000 pounds for carriers of property to Mississippi Code Section 27-19-11.

Establishes highway privilege tax rates for the new weight category: $1,644.00 for common and contract carriers, $1,644.00 for private carriers, and $1,008.00 for private commercial carriers.

Extends the additional privilege tax of $1,350.00 (reduced by $175.00 per year of age to a minimum of $50.00) to vehicles in the new 80,001 to 84,000 pound category, adjusting the weight ratio calculation from 80,000 pounds to 84,000 pounds.

Requires applicants for license tags subject to these privilege taxes to sign an affidavit attesting to the applicability of the section.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
