Commends Everest and Base Camp Coding Academy in Water Valley, Mississippi, as the state's first rural education and innovation hub for workforce development in computer coding.

Recognizes the $4.7 million public/private initiative to repurpose a former garment manufacturing facility, supported by private corporations (C Spire, Renasant Bank, Morgan White Insurance, CoreLogic) and federal agencies (Appalachian Regional Commission, Delta Regional Authority, USDA, Department of Labor, Tennessee Valley Authority).

Notes that Base Camp Coding Academy, founded in 2016, provides tuition-free one-year computer science training to selected high school graduates, enabling them to earn approximately $50,000 annually without student loan debt.

Establishes partnerships with Northwest Mississippi Community College to allow students to earn college credit while completing workforce development courses.

Directs copies of the resolution to be provided to Base Camp founders Glen Evans and Kagan Coughlin and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
