Commends Dr. Clyde Muse for his 42-year tenure as president of Hinds Community College, the longest serving community college presidency in Mississippi history, beginning July 1, 1978.

Recognizes Dr. Muse's 68 total years in education, including 26 years in Mississippi's K-12 public education system as a teacher, coach, principal, and superintendent.

Acknowledges his major accomplishments including infrastructure improvements across six Hinds locations, establishment of comprehensive campuses in Jackson and Vicksburg-Warren, creation of the Rankin Campus in 1983, and opening of the Eagle Ridge Conference Center in 1996.

Notes Dr. Muse's numerous honors including the Association of Community College Trustees' Southern Region Chief Executive Officer Award, Governor's Award for Excellence in State Government, and inductions into the Mississippi Coaches Hall of Fame and Delta State University Sports Hall of Fame.

Extends legislative best wishes to Dr. Muse upon his retirement on June 30, 2020, and directs copies of the resolution be provided to him, the Hinds Community College Board of Trustees, and the Capitol Press Corps.
