Commends Dr. Edwin "Ed" J. Deuschle, a Vietnam War veteran from Lee County, Mississippi, for his heroic service and leadership during combat on May 5, 1970.

Recognizes Deuschle's actions during a battle where he jumped from a helicopter despite a knee injury, led troops uphill under heavy machine-gun fire, and eliminated an enemy position, allowing his company to survive.

Acknowledges Deuschle's receipt of eight military medals on August 31, 2015, including the Silver Star Medal, Air Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal, after nearly 50 years of bureaucratic delay in official recognition.

Credits Congressman Alan Nunnelee and his successor Congressman Trent Kelly for investigating and securing the formal presentation of Deuschle's deserved military honors.

Honors Deuschle's post-military career as an ordained Baptist minister and his role as a community leader and family patriarch in Tupelo and Madison, Mississippi.
