Commemorates the life and legacy of Mrs. Emma Sanders, who passed away on June 24, 2020, at age 91, and expresses sympathy to her family and friends.

Recognizes Mrs. Sanders' career as an educator at Brinkley and Lanier High Schools in Jackson Public School district and her status as an Alcorn State University alumnus.

Honors her extensive Democratic Party service including attendance at four National Democratic Conventions as a delegate, 20 years on the State Executive Committee, presidency of the Mississippi Federation of Democratic Women for six years, and a 1966 congressional campaign.

Acknowledges her volunteer service as office manager for the Mississippi Democratic Party headquarters from February 1997 onward during a period of financial crisis, and her receipt of the Fannie Lou Hamer Award in 1997.

Directs that copies of the resolution be provided to Mrs. Sanders' family and the Capitol Press Corps.
