Commends Mrs. Peggy Hobson Calhoun upon her retirement after 27 years of service as Supervisor of District 3 of Hinds County, Mississippi.

Recognizes Calhoun as the first female elected to the Hinds County Board of Supervisors and the first African-American female to serve as president of the Mississippi Association of Supervisors in 2017.

Acknowledges her accomplishments including creation of over 1,689 new jobs, $430 million economic impact, construction of Hinds Parkway, $1.5 million in weather-alert sirens, and over $5 million in street resurfacing projects.

Notes Calhoun's investments in community infrastructure including a $600,000 community center, walking tracks, a One-Stop Work Force Center, and $750,000 in flood and drainage assistance in her district.

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to Mrs. Calhoun and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
