Honors Slater's 20-season NFL career with the Los Angeles Rams (1976-1995) as a record holder for most seasons with one team and most regular-season games played by an offensive lineman with 259 games

Acknowledges Slater's seven Pro Bowl selections, NFL Offensive Lineman of the Year awards in 1986, 1987, and 1989, and his role in blocking for seven different 1,000-yard rushers and multiple playoff appearances including Super Bowl XIV

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Jackie Ray Slater and members of the Capitol Press Corps
