Commends the life and legacy of Mrs. Esther Martin Rigsby, who passed away on March 17, 2020, and expresses sympathy to her family and friends.

Honors Mrs. Rigsby's educational credentials including a bachelor's degree from Alcorn State University and a master's degree from Indiana University, as well as her extensive career teaching English, journalism, speech, drama and reading across multiple Mississippi school districts.

Recognizes her leadership roles in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, including President of Beta Delta Omega Chapter and 17th South Eastern Regional Director.

Acknowledges her community service through membership in the NAACP, Jackson Urban League, The Links, Inc., and other organizations, as well as her induction into Alcorn State University's Hall of Honor and receipt of the NAACP's Mother of the Year Award.

Directs that copies of the resolution be provided to Mrs. Rigsby's family and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
