MS SB2013

Creates two subdistricts within the Tenth Circuit Court District by dividing Clarke, Wayne, Kemper, and Lauderdale counties into Subdistrict 10-1 and Subdistrict 10-2 with specified precinct boundaries.

Increases the number of circuit court judges in the Tenth Circuit from two to three judges, effective January 1, 2023.

Assigns two judges to be elected by voters of Subdistrict 10-1 (designated as Place One and Place Two) and one judge to be elected by voters of Subdistrict 10-2 (designated as Place Three).

Requires candidates for all three judgeships to qualify and run in the November 2022 general election under existing state election provisions.

Establishes subdistrict boundaries based on Census Bureau's 2010 TIGER/Line Shapefiles released in November 2010.
