Amends Section 37-151-5, Mississippi Code of 1972, to clarify that average daily attendance for adequate education funding purposes includes days when a student is absent due to sickness or injury.

Specifies that students absent due to sickness or injury shall be reported as in attendance even if they do not meet the 63% instructional day presence requirement normally required for full-day attendance.

Days when students are absent due to sickness or injury are counted toward the average daily attendance calculation used to determine adequate education program (MAEP) funding for school districts.

Effective July 1, 2020.
