MS SB2230

Amends Section 83-11-101 of the Mississippi Code to extend uninsured motorist coverage to claims involving vehicles owned or operated by entities protected by immunity under the Mississippi Tort Claims Act.

Modifies bodily injury liability coverage requirements to cover damages that an insured would be legally entitled to recover but for tort immunity protections.

Modifies property damage liability coverage requirements to cover damages that an insured would be legally entitled to recover but for tort immunity protections.

Takes effect upon passage.
