Extends the repeal date of the Critical Needs Teacher Forgivable Loan Program from July 1, 2020 to July 1, 2021.

Program provides forgivable loans to teacher education students who commit to teaching in geographical areas or subject areas with critical teacher shortages as designated by the State Board of Education.

Full-time students may receive a maximum of two annual awards covering tuition, room, meals, books, materials and fees up to the highest cost at state institutions; nonresidents' awards exclude out-of-state tuition.

Nontraditional licensed teachers employed in shortage areas may receive up to $3,000 annually for student loan repayment over a maximum four-year period.

Failure to repay loans can result in revocation of a teacher's license by the State Board of Education.
