Amends Mississippi Code Section 93-5-1 to give courts discretion to determine whether one or both parties are the injured party in divorce proceedings.

Maintains all 12 existing grounds for divorce, including adultery, desertion, drunkenness, cruel treatment, and incurable mental illness.

Expands the definition of spousal domestic abuse to include physical injury, threats, emotional/verbal abuse, forced isolation, sexual extortion, stalking, or aggravated stalking that rises above unkindness or incompatibility.

Allows spousal domestic abuse to be proven through reliable testimony of a single credible witness, including the injured party.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
