Increases school board member per diem from $67.00 to $112.00 per meeting for no more than 36 meetings per fiscal year.

Increases annual salary option from $2,400.00 to $4,000.00 for board members who choose an annual salary instead of per-meeting compensation.

School board members remain ineligible for state employee group insurance, retirement benefits, or other fringe benefits.

Board members missing 20% or more of meetings during a calendar year must reimburse the school district a proportionate amount of salary paid, unless absences are due to required military duty.

Effective date is July 1, 2020.
