MS SB2398

Removes the limitation on the number of additional poll managers that election commissioners may appoint for precincts with more than 500 registered voters.

Previously allowed commissioners to appoint no more than 6 additional poll managers for each 1,000 registered voters above the first 500; this restriction is eliminated.

Allows commissioners to appoint an additional number of poll managers "as determined necessary by the elections commissioners and approved by the board of supervisors" instead of the fixed cap.

Requires poll managers to be qualified electors of the county where the voting precinct is located.

Effective July 1, 2020.
