Amends the definition of "crime of violence" in Mississippi Code Section 9-23-5 to exclude burglary of a dwelling under Section 97-17-32(1) from the list of crimes of violence.

Modifies eligibility requirements for intervention court participation in Section 9-23-15 to allow individuals with burglary of a dwelling convictions to be considered for alternative sentencing programs.

Restructures the disqualifying criteria for intervention court eligibility to explicitly list felony convictions for crimes of violence, trafficking in controlled substances, and pending criminal proceedings as separate grounds for exclusion.

Maintains existing prohibitions against participation for individuals charged with driving under the influence resulting in death, trafficking in controlled substances, or having pending violent crime proceedings.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
