Increases the death benefit from the Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Fighters Death Benefits Trust Fund from $100,000 to $200,000 for law enforcement officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty.

Benefit applies when a covered individual dies from accidental or intentional bodily injury sustained while performing official duties, with the cause of death covered under federal Public Safety Officers' Benefits Act or Hometown Heroes Survivors Benefits Act.

Excludes deaths resulting from suicide or intentionally self-inflicted bodily injury.

Payment goes to designated beneficiary, or if none exists, to surviving spouse and children equally, then parents, then the individual's estate.

Establishes the Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Fighters Death Benefits Trust Fund in the State Treasury with an initial appropriation of $200,000, to be managed by the Department of Public Safety; takes effect July 1, 2020.
