Amends Section 25-15-303 of the Mississippi Code to allow the State Superintendent of Public Education to designate an individual to serve on the State and School Employees Health Insurance Management Board in his or her capacity.

Adds language permitting the Commissioner of Insurance to designate a representative to serve on the board, making the designation authority consistent across multiple board positions.

The board administers the State and School Employees Life and Health Insurance Plan and selects third-party administrators for the plan.

Board consists of 13 voting members including state officials, two gubernatorial appointees with insurance expertise, and four legislative committee chairs (or designees) serving as ex officio nonvoting members.

Effective July 1, 2020.
