• Requires parents to submit a Diabetes Medical Management Plan beginning with the 2021-2022 school year that outlines diabetes management services required at school based on a healthcare provider's orders.

• Provides civil immunity to school districts, employees, agents, and volunteer care providers from damages resulting from actions or inactions under this act.

• Requires the Department of Education to consult with the Department of Health to develop training programs and rules for implementing the act, and to deliver these rules and guidelines to legislative committees by December 1, 2020.

• Allows trained volunteer school personnel to administer glucagon or insulin to students in emergency situations if authorized by parents and specified in the student's Diabetes Medical Management Plan.
