Requires the Department of Education to license teacher candidates in individual subject areas where they achieve a passing score on the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators examination, regardless of composite exam performance.

Modifies Section 37-3-2 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 to establish this individual subject area licensing pathway for teachers.

Allows teachers to be licensed in specific disciplines where they demonstrate competency through passing Praxis exam scores, rather than requiring passage across all tested areas.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
