Amends Section 25-41-15 of Mississippi Code to add new subsection (5) allowing courts to void actions taken in violation of the Open Meetings Act upon finding a preponderance of evidence of violation.

Court must determine that the public interest in enforcing the Open Meetings Act policy outweighs the public interest in sustaining the validity of the action taken in the closed meeting, record, or vote.

Establishes a statute of limitations requiring enforcement suits to be brought within six (6) months of when the violation is ascertained and no later than two (2) years after the violation occurs.

Exempts actions regarding issuance of bonds or other evidence of indebtedness if a public hearing, election, or public sale has been held regarding those bonds or indebtedness.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
