Increases the Board on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Training from 13 to 14 total members.

Reduces Governor-appointed members from 6 to 5, including reducing chief of police appointments from 2 to 1 member.

Adds two new ex officio positions: President of the Mississippi Association of Chiefs of Police (or designee) and a chief of police appointed by the Mississippi Association of Chiefs of Police.

Updates gender-neutral language throughout by replacing "his" with "a" and "chairman" with "chair."

Makes terminology changes including replacing "prior to" with "before."
