Increases the number of authorized full-time legal assistants in the Seventh Circuit Court District from 11 to 13.

Authorizes the District Attorney of the Seventh Circuit Court District to appoint four (4) additional full-time criminal investigators for a total of five (5), replacing the previous authorization under a different circuit district provision.

Allows district attorneys to employ additional legal assistants and criminal investigators beyond authorized limits if funding is available from any source, including county funds, federal grants, private foundations, or interlocal agreements.

Requires district attorneys to report supplemental salary sources and amounts to county boards of supervisors and the Department of Finance and Administration.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
