Requires the state-at-large dentist appointee to the State Board of Dental Examiners to be a member of the Mississippi Dental Society.

Establishes a nomination process where three licensed, actively practicing dentists who are Mississippi Dental Society members are nominated to the Governor for the at-large position, and the Governor appoints one from those nominations with Senate consent.

Maintains the existing board composition of seven licensed dentists and one dental hygienist, each with at least five years of in-state practice experience.

Preserves the current appointment procedures for six district-based dentists and one state-at-large dental hygienist, including polling of licensed practitioners in each dental district.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
