Creates "Chandler's Law" to enable family members to access genetic information obtained during postmortem examinations that may indicate hereditary health risks.

Requires genetic medical information discovered during autopsy to be included in the autopsy report provided under Section 41-37-25.

Authorizes the Chief State Medical Examiner to provide a decedent's next of kin with available documentation related to autopsy findings, medical investigation, and cause of death upon request, with proof of relationship required for guardians or legal representatives.

Declares legislative intent that advances in genetics and medical research should be utilized to identify actual causes of death and inform family members of potential genetic or medical risks shared with the deceased.

Effective July 1, 2020.
