Amends Section 67-1-14 of the Mississippi Code to allow municipalities that have voted to establish qualified resort areas under Section 67-1-16(1) to pass an ordinance permitting the legal sale of alcoholic beverages.

Adds a new subsection (4) allowing governing authorities of such municipalities to permit alcohol sales without requiring a separate local option election.

Applies to municipalities that have established qualified resort areas, providing an alternative pathway to legalize alcohol sales beyond existing election requirements.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
