Amends Section 45-45-27 of the Mississippi Code to exempt elevators serving only two adjacent floors from the annual inspection requirement under the Mississippi Conveyance Safety Act.

Building and structure owners remain responsible for annual inspections of all other conveyances using licensed elevator inspectors who must provide written inspection reports detailing code violations.

Property owners must correct any code violations within thirty days of receiving the inspection report.

Building owners must continue to hire elevator contractors to supervise required tests at intervals complying with ASME A17.1/CSA B44 Appendix N, ASME A18.1, and ASCE 21 standards.

Effective date is July 1, 2020.
