Amends Mississippi Code Section 25-31-5 to increase the number of authorized full-time legal assistants in the Seventh Circuit Court District from 11 to 13.

Maintains all other circuit court districts' legal assistant allocations unchanged.

Allows additional legal assistants to be funded through legislative appropriations or county board of supervisors resolutions to pay salaries and benefits.

Permits district attorneys to employ additional legal assistants beyond authorized limits using non-state funding sources including office-generated funds, county/municipal contributions, federal funds, or grants.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
