Authorizes the governing authorities of the Town of Belmont (located in Tishomingo County) to construct, expand, operate, and maintain a natural gas distribution system beyond five miles from its corporate limits.

Establishes a specific service area in Itawamba County, Mississippi, defined by detailed geographic boundaries using township and range coordinates.

Does not exempt the Town of Belmont from requirements under Mississippi Code Section 77-3-1 et seq., including obtaining a certificate of public convenience and necessity or Public Service Commission rate regulation.

Became effective upon passage during the 2020 Mississippi Regular Session.
