Amends Mississippi Code Section 41-29-111 to automatically schedule any drug designated on the federal schedule for preventing or treating COVID-19 on the corresponding state schedule, effective from the federal designation date until the next regular legislative session amends the state schedule.

Removes approved cannabidiol drugs from Schedule V; specifically excludes FDA-approved cannabidiol products derived from cannabis containing no more than 0.1 percent residual tetrahydrocannabinols from state controlled substance regulations.

Maintains existing Schedule V classifications for narcotic drugs containing nonnarcotic active medicinal ingredients with specified dosage limits, stimulants, and depressants.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
