Commends the life and public service of former State Senator and Representative Malcolm Mabry, Jr., of Dublin, Mississippi, who died on June 12, 2020, at age 87.

Recognizes Mabry's 24-year legislative career serving in both the House and Senate between 1964-1988, including chairing the Senate Agriculture Committee in his final term.

Notes Mabry's transformation from a conservative segregationist in the 1960s to a liberal civil rights advocate and champion for the underdog by the 1970s.

Acknowledges his diverse accomplishments including being a high school history teacher, farmer, poet, fundraiser who raised $1.5 million for Mississippi State University's College of Veterinary Medicine oncology unit, and rescuer of stray dogs.

Expresses the Legislature's sympathy to Mabry's surviving family members and directs the resolution be presented to his family and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
