Center Hill High School "Lady Mustangs" volleyball team won the 2019 Class 5A state championship with a 3-1 victory over Long Beach on October 26, 2019, at Mississippi State University.

Team reached the Final Four for the first time in school history, defeating Saltillo, Cleveland Central, and East Central before the championship match.

DeSoto County MVP Zakhia Taylor suffered an ankle injury in the first minutes of the championship match, but the team secured the title with a 16-16 record.

Resolution recognizes 15 team members including Reagan Green, Abigail Chisholm, Anna Jernigan, Chloe Steen, Makenzie Sandridge, and others, along with Coach Robbie Veazey.

This marked the first state title for a DeSoto County team since 2015.
