Commends and congratulates the Lafayette County High School "Lady Dores" girls soccer team and Head Coach Melinda Scruggs for winning their second consecutive Mississippi High School Activities Association Class 5A State Championship and third overall championship.

Team defeated East Central High School 2-1 in the championship game on February 8, 2020, at Brandon High School's Bulldog Stadium, with Caroline Perkins scoring the game-winning goal with 26 minutes remaining.

Lists the 16-member varsity roster, head coach Melinda Scruggs, and four assistant coaches (Cullen Pollard, Madi Sherer, Lance McGregor, and Katie Shepherd).

Resolution to be presented to Head Coach Melinda Scruggs for the team, forwarded to Lafayette County High School Principal Dr. Glenn Kitchens and the Lafayette County Board of Education, and distributed to the Capitol Press Corps.
