Recognizes Mr. A.C. McKenzie, Sr., of Edwards, Mississippi, as a World War II veteran and Purple Heart recipient for his distinguished service to the United States.

McKenzie enlisted in the U.S. Army on October 20, 1943, and served with the 438th Quartermaster Gas Supply Company, deploying to France in July 1944.

McKenzie was severely wounded during combat on the Ramagen Bridge in September 1944 when a bomb struck his artillery truck, killing several squadron members and injuring him with shrapnel.

McKenzie remained hospitalized in Germany until July 1946 and was honorably discharged as a Buck Sergeant after advancing three ranks during two years of active duty.

Directs that copies of this resolution be presented to Mr. McKenzie and his family, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
