Mourns the passing of Bob W. Pittman of Ridgeland, Mississippi, who died on August 8, 2020, and commends his public and economic development service to the state.

Recognizes Pittman's 32 years of service as President and CEO of the Mississippi Economic Council (MEC), during which he strengthened education, improved county government, and developed business-friendly legislation.

Honors Pittman's creation of the Leadership Mississippi Program (the second oldest in the nation) and the Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) Program, which recognized thousands of Mississippi graduates and teachers.

Acknowledges Pittman's career progression from journalist to editor in the U.S. Army to economic development director in Greenwood, where he recruited major businesses to the Mississippi Delta.

Directs presentation of the resolution to Pittman's surviving family and the Mississippi Economic Council.
