Amends Section 43-13-117 of Mississippi Code to exempt durable medical equipment and medical supplies from the 5% across-the-board reduction in Medicaid provider reimbursement rates.

The 5% reimbursement reduction currently applies to most Medicaid services but already excludes inpatient hospital services, outpatient hospital services, nursing facility services, pharmacy services, and physician services among others.

Durable medical equipment and medical supplies will now be added to the list of services exempt from the 5% reimbursement rate reduction.

Precertification of durable medical equipment and medical supplies remains required as determined by the Division of Medicaid.

Effective July 1, 2021.
