Establishes a new assessment on assisted living service providers operating under federal Medicaid waivers, charged at the maximum rate allowed by federal law for each licensed and occupied bed

Exempts assisted living services provided through federal waivers from the existing 5% Medicaid reimbursement reduction that applies to most other provider types, effective July 1, 2021

Extends the repeal date for Section 43-13-117 (Medicaid services and reimbursement provisions) from July 1, 2021 to July 1, 2024

Assessment revenues from assisted living facilities will be deposited into the Medical Care Fund to support the Mississippi Medicaid program

Assessment collections will occur monthly, with facilities required to maintain records for five years subject to examination by state agencies
